Exploring the USA

During the months of May and June, Paul and I were able to take a road trip from Ohio down to the Carolinas. We drove through West Virginia, Virginia, Tennessee, North Carolina, and South Carolina. We visited with old friends and family, and we also met some people for the first time. It had been awhile since I traveled down south, and it struck me how many people there need Jesus as much as anyone here in Brazil. In Wilmington, where we met up with long time friends Chris and Sue Todd, we went along the beach where almost every year a hurricane blows through, and families have to start all over again after losing their homes. It was there that I happened to wear my “Jesus Cares” shirt, and quite a few people came up to me to say that they liked the message. America may have its problems, but it is a land that I love, the land where I was born, and Jesus Cares about the people there too.
