Author Bio

I came to Brazil as a missionary who had experience with evangelism on the streets of Amsterdam, but I had so much I needed to learn. When I arrived to teach the children, I ultimately learned more from their lives than I thought possible. Their courage, and readiness to forgive taught me much in my walk of faith.

My husband Paul and I have been missionaries for over thirty years, twenty-five of those in Brazil. We are the founders of Lar Feliz, or Happy Home, which has helped over 2000 children since it opened in 2001. By working in a team of specialized Brazilian staff, we have seen many success stories. Hope has bloomed in rocky dry places.
